And one more on Aqua Board...

Now after doing this last of four small 4" x 4" paintings on Aqua Board, I decided I like it enough to go buy more. It's texture gives more depth to my work and the light shows through more. Ink is better to use first because on top of the paint, the black line goes on a bit fatter. And best to put your colors/layers down in one or two attempts because they do not blend very well on this surface. This is all working with watercolors and pen and ink.

A aqua board looks very interesting! I like the painting of the forest, I'm actually amazed of the delicate details, it doesn't look easy to do that on such a ruff background. My absolute favorite is the painting bellow of the bird with the golden crown. Stunning!!

Thank you...the Aqua Board surface is like a fine sandpaper finish so it looks rougher than it is. I love painting on it!

I have used aqua bord too, and love the way i can layer, if I apply 1 layer, let dry, I can add up to 5 layers, the luminosity is so good, better than mixing colors. I have painted the Federal Duck Stamp with and love how works. Very good work.
